RABDF College Lecturers' Day 2013

The 2013 RABDF College Lecturers' Day was held on Wednesday 30th January at Cannington Centre, Bridgwater College, Somerset. 18 delegates representing 10 agricultural colleges located throughout the UK were brought up to speed with the latest developments in the dairy sector. The event, specifically designed for agricultural lecturers, featured a series of presentations examining the current challenges facing the dairy industry. 

The day featured the following presentations:

  • Recent dramatic changes in our understanding of lameness - Roger Blowey
  • Practical genomics, possibilities for the future and Immunity+ - Andrew Axford, Regional manager, Semex UK    
  • Housing the 21st Century cow - Richard Davies, DairyCo  
  • Update and outlook on the beef industry - Phil Hadley, Senior Regional Manager, EBLEX
