RABDF Farm Open Day: ‘Knowledge Transfer - Training and Skill Development’

This Farm Open Day will focus on 'Training and Development' and is hosted by Robert Craig.

There will be three different talk stations situated around the farm and visitors will have the chance to move around and listen to key information and experience on training and development within the dairy industry.  

Programme for the day

10.30am – Registration

11.00am - Welcome by RABDF

11.10am – Introduction by host farmer, Robert Craig

11.20am – Farm walk commences (individual talk stations situated around the farm)

  • Cairnhead management trainee scheme with travel to NZ – Robert Craig/George Brown/Shaun Mckay
  • Requirements for a leading and sustainable future dairy industry– Mark North, Nestlé and Ian Critchley, First Milk
  • The value of knowledge transfer through discussion groups and benchmarking – Bess Jowsey, LIC Pasture to Profit Consultant
  • Opportunities and resources for further development – Adam Wardrop, SRUC (TBC)

1.15pm – Round up by host farmer

1.30pm – Lunch (complimentary for RABDF members)
