The RABDF and the Plunkett Foundation have long recognised that the level of performance and effectiveness of milk groups is intrinsically linked to the ability and dynamism of their governing bodies. The Farmer Director Training Programme has been designed to enhance the management capabilities of these governors, many of whom are experts in the management of their own farms, but who sometimes lack the required skills for directing large and complex added-value milk processing enterprises.
