RABDF elects new council members

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers has elected five new members to Council. They are Frank Armitage, former director of NMR and MDCEL; John Daw, dairy farmer and chairman of the regional NFU Dairy Board; Derek Mead, regional NFU Council member and founder member of Farmers for Action; Mark Roach, managing director of Grosvenor Farms, Chester, the current holders of the RABDF/NMR Gold Cup and Dr Dave Roberts, head of SAC Dairy Research Centre, Dumfries.

The new members succeed Prof David Beever, Andrew Chadwick, David Dugdale and Jeremy Jackson.

In addition, vice chair and Chepstow dairy farmer, Lyndon Edwards has been re-elected to Council, along with Cheshire based producer, Tim Dobson.

“We are pleased to welcome the new members to Council,” comments RABDF chief executive, Nick Everington. “Each brings a wealth of varying experience within the dairy sector, and we look forward to their input as we continue working for British dairy farmers. We would also like to express our grateful thanks for the time and commitment offered by the four members who have stepped down from Council.”
