RABDF support lameness campaign

RABDF are supporting a series of meetings on practical solutions to dairy cow lameness. The meetings which are sponsored by Defra and organised by ADAS, will be held throughout March at venues all over England.

These meetings will explore the latest information on dairy cattle lameness including husbandry and physical influences veterinary aspects and treatment.  They will bring fresh ideas and solutions to the dairy industry’s attention from various Defra funded research programmes and from research and practical experience around the world.  The afternoon sessions will be participative and use video clips to highlight locomotion scoring, foot trimming and how varying underfoot conditions can create or avoid damage to cows’ feet and legs.

Admission is free of charge. To book yourself a place, please contact Sally Reid from ADAS on 01522 521302 or email animalhealth@adas.co.uk
