17 April 2007 RABDF warns of missing waste exemption form |
RABDF has emphasised to farmers the importance of completing their waste exemption forms by 15 May deadline, and warned of a form required for completion which is missing from their exemption form pack. The Form PLAN 2 which should be completed by farmers planning to use small quantities of road planings/tarmac scalpings for track repairs, was released after the waste exemption packs were compiled. The form is now available from the Environment Agency's website. RABDF chairman, Lyndon Edwards commented: “Whilst the waste exemption packs have been well structured, many farmers have assumed that all the forms they need are included in the pack which is not the case. Farmers should be aware that if they store less than 150 tonnes of road planings on farm, as many dairy producers do for track repairs, although it is a low risk activity, the Form PLAN 2 must be completed and returned to the Environment Agency.” |
