Dairy Event and Livestock Show stand space schedule is released

Stand space schedules for the 2011 Dairy Event and Livestock Show to be held at The NEC, Birmingham on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 September, have been issued this week by the event’s organiser, The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers.

“Following the resounding success of last year’s event when 86% of the exhibitors surveyed said they would rebook, we urge exhibitors to submit their application forms before 25 March in order to benefit from the first allocation of stand space,” says RABDF chief executive, Nick Everington. “We expect increased demand for space with incorporation of the National All Breeds Dairy Show and the introduction of New Smithfield, a technical demonstration on beef breeding and finishing.”

He adds: “Relocating the event to The NEC in 2010 encouraged visitor numbers to rise by 10% to 16,000. Furthermore, the number of exhibitors increased to 480, of which 94% indicated they will book the same space or larger in 2011. Their intentions reflect the fact that the vast majority – 92%, rated The NEC as excellent or good as a show venue, with a similar number indicating build up and breakdown was excellent or good. Quality and quantity of enquiries were rated as good or excellent by 85% of exhibitors and 68% of them took orders at the show or as a direct result.

”We look forward to building on these results at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show 2011 to provide ruminant livestock farmers with a one stop shop for all their input requirements.”
