Delegates to the inaugural Women in Dairying conference staged at Worcester, on 9 September were reminded they had a vital role to play in promoting the industry and were well positioned to take this up. They connected and shared and were also inspired by other dairy farmers’ experiences.

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers is welcoming interest this month from dairy farmers to become members of its Council commencing January 2016. 

Almost half of Britain’s dairy farmers are scheduled to leave the sector and 45% of the remaining half planning to continue in production have put their expansion plans on hold, according to an intentions survey carried out by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers
