OMSCo deputy chairman awarded top industry accolade

Lyndon Edwards, organic dairy farmer and deputy chairman of OMSCo (the Organic
Milk Suppliers Cooperative) has been awarded the Dairy UK Award 2018 for outstanding services to the dairy industry.

Lyndon, who oversees the running of his 680-acre farm and business diversifications near Chepstow with his son Thomas, was commended by the judges for his longstanding commitment to the dairy sector, having lead numerous industry committees.

Nicholas Saphir, OMSCo executive chairman, explains that Lyndon was a worthy recipient. “Lyndon thoroughly deserves this award for his selfless work towards the future of the British dairy industry on so many fronts.

“He’s worked tirelessly to promote the industry on all levels, having worked in local, national
and international roles that ensure he presents the very best of British dairying.

“In his role as deputy chairman at OMSCo he’s heavily involved with leading the organic
dairy sector. His passion and effectiveness is undeniable, and he’s been instrumental in
driving our membership forward, helping to deliver new opportunities both in the UK and
globally,” says Nicholas.

In addition to his position as OMSCo’s deputy chairman, Lyndon also holds several senior
industry roles such as chairman for the Action Group for Johne’s. He is also a Royal
Association of British Dairy Farmer council member, and a former board member of Dairy
UK.
